    Reiki - Usui Shiki Ryoho 

Catherine was introduced to Reiki before becoming a Nurse over 30 years ago, by her former Master Dr Amegashie RGMT/Kundalini Master (R.I.P.). In 2015, Catherine has completed her current Reiki Usui Shiki Ryoho training, by completing the 18th Degree. ​ The knowledge that an unseen energy flows through all living things and directly affects the quality of health has been part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times. The existence of this “life force energy” has been verified by recent scientific experiments and modern day medical doctors, nurses, and therapists among others are considering the vital role it plays in the overall healing process. As you may have noticed, Catherine completed her training, by completing the 18th Degree, but there are 20. How is that?, I hear you asking. The answer is simple: she wrote levels 19 and 20. 19 and 20, Forgiveness and Gratitude levels, resulted from a very intense course in Ho'oponopono.

 The Japanese word REIKI (ray-key) means Guided Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki is one name for this energy that exists within all life. It can be drawn through the hands for healing by a practitioner. Reiki incorporates a series of Attunements that a person receives to become a practitioner of Reiki, and then the practitioner uses a series of techniques to transmit this energy to themselves and others. Thought to have originated in Tibet thousands of years ago, it was rediscovered by a Japanese Monk Dr. Mikao Usui in the mid-1800’s. Since that time it has been successfully taught to hundreds of thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds. REIKI is passed down and taught by REIKI Masters throughout the world. 

Madam Catherine has argued may times over, that it was actually Madam Takata who had introduced the physical Initiation from Master to Student, not Dr Usui. Dr Usui had received the Divine inspiration during meditation. The Divine did not stand in front of him and drew symbols on him, as we do today. This type of initiation was introduced by Madam Takata. Reiki is a way of life. You need to commit to Reiki. As a Reiki Practitioner, you are the Conductor of the Divine Energy, of the Universe Energy, of Chi. You guide this energy to where it must go - yourself or your client, after this, Reiki then goes where the body needs it most. And, did you know, that the third Grandmaster and Medical Doctor, Dr Chujiro Hayashi, was the actual person to start giving the attunements symbol? There is much about Dr Hayashi, that is not taught. I may be wrong, but maybe it is because he ended his own life(?).

 So what does a Reiki Class in a Virtual Classroom look like? Home Study Courses with given amount of hours of practice (Journaling) and sending feedback to the lecturer. A small written test completes the course which leads to receiving a certificate. ​ 

Reiki 1st- 3rd Degrees ​ 

Reiki One: In the Level One class
you learn the history and principles of Reiki as well as the fundamental techniques for giving a basic Reiki treatment to yourself and others, with a strong emphasis on self-healing. The energy centers in your hands are opened and a flow of energy established through an Attunement process done by the Master-Teacher. Reiki Level I is appropriate for anyone and does not require previous training of any kind. ​ 

Reiki Two: Healing Self & Others - Intermediate Level -
training builds on the momentum and growth achieved in level one. This level is the goal to achieve for students who wish to achieve greater personal mastery in healing or for those committed to the health and wellness including healers and health care professionals looking to expand their field of study and practice. You are invited to arrange a three week block of practical training and journaling and feedback reports. 

 At this level emphasis is given along with additional tools for helping others to heal physically, mentally, and emotionally. Additional information is given about the human energy system (chakra system) and the underlying causes of illness and “dis-ease”.

Reiki Three: Master/Teacher - Pre-requisition is 2nd Degree Reiki
By far the most powerful of the three, this Reiki Level Three Class is perfect for those Reiki practitioners who wish to increase their Reiki energy and work at the Master Level. It is thought by many to be the most exciting and powerful part of this amazing healing system. Reiki Masters are rapidly spreading Reiki throughout the world, and can be found currently bringing Reiki into private practice, centers, hospices, clinics, world class spas, and even some hospitals. In this training seminar you will receive the Master Attunement which dramatically increases your Reiki energy, receive instruction on how to utilize this and the other symbols, tools, & techniques for increased healing. In this class you will learn how to give Reiki I, II, & III Attunements to others. The main focus of the teaching in level 3 is on healing the spirit. This class will include extensive review of all 3 levels of Reiki only now from the teachers viewpoint. A small Master Teachers Manual will be given to each participant with the essentials in it for teaching a class, including class outlines for all 3 levels. Practice time for the process of passing Attunements is also a major focus of the day. Plus you will be given starting business tools, ie certificates and PDF notes, as handout for your students.

Levels 5 to 20 are not part of the traditional Usui Reiki system, or the teaching of Reiki founder, Mikao Usui, however these wonderful Attunements have very profound and powerful energies. I highly recommend them. I loved receiving these Attunements and I know that you will too! ​
